While ActiveCampaign is packed full of features, some bloggers might want a more light weight, easier to use solution. ConvertKit is my pick for an easy to use service provider that is powerful, yet uncomplicated.
It offers a much simpler way of create automations using rules. Unlike the other two services, rules consist of a single trigger and an action.
While you can’t create as sophisticated workflows as other services, ConvertKit can still handle important tasks like delivering content upgrades and email click based tagging.

Thrive Leads is easily the best email marketing tool for collecting emails from your own website.
It’s a WordPress plugin allows you to build a wide variety of optin forms, from your standard sidebar optin to fancier options like welcome mats, ribbons and popups.
You can start from a variety of nice looking templates and it very simple to customize to your needs using the Thrive Content Builder engine. For the advanced email marketer it also has the best split testing capability I’ve seen, and Smart Links is an awesome feature as well.
LeadPages offers some overlap with Thrive Leads with their LeadBoxes. But where it really shines is building professional looking landing pages that help you collect more emails.
LeadPages comes with a ton of professional templates for sales pages, webinars, product launches and more. Some of them designed by expert marketers like Pat Flynn, Jeff Walker, and James Shramko.

This is specific to selling on Amazon only, but FeedbackGenius is an essential tool to have if you are selling on Amazon.
What it does is help you generate more seller feedback and product reviews for any product you sell on Amazon.
It works by automatically sending out follow up emails to anyone who buys your product on Amazon. In this series, you can ask for feedback and most importantly remind your customers to leave reviews on Amazon.
I’ve been using this service for a client of mine, and it is absolutely the best way to generate more Amazon reviews. Which in turn will help generate you more sales.
Rapportive is a free plugin that hooks into your Firefox or Google web browser and it displays everything about your contacts inside your inbox.
At a glance, you can get reminded where your contact works, and links to all their social media profiles.
What I use Rapportive for is for networking and outreach. It’s a great way to quickly remember who a person is in your inbox and figure out the best way to connect with them.
Boomerang adds a host of cool features that can really improve your email workflow.
For example, you can write and email and have it sent at some time in the future. You can have it archive an email and choose when it should show up again.
But my favorite use of Boomerang is the follow up reminder feature. Sometimes, when you’re doing networking you need to make sure to follow up with people within a certain time frame.
Boomerang allows you to do this really easily.
MailTrack is a really useful Google chrome extensions. What it does is tells you when your email gets read. It integrates with your gmail.
MailTrack basic is free, although it does come with a little Sent with Mailtrack signature at the bottom.
To remove this ad, and add features like real time notifications and link tracking you can opt for the premium version of Mailtrack for just $4.13 a month.
Connector is an awesome tool for sending outreach emails.
It comes with a variety of smart templates for sharing blog posts, networking, guest posting and more.
Templates can be easily customized and they can contain fields which you can automatically fill in from a csv file. This allows you to personalize your outreach emails and get better response rates.
Connector also supports scheduling followups and tracks all your stats.
Pricing is very reasonable as well at $9 a month.
Email Hunter is a website that allows you to find email addresses from any domain. Sign up for a free account and you get 150 free searches a month which is more than enough for most people.
It’s simple to use, as all you need to do is type in a domain and press the search button.
It’s the perfect tool for collecting emails for your outreach and it works great with a tool like Connector.
Which Gmail Tab is a great little website that tells you which Gmail tab your emails will land in for any of your gmail contacts.
As you know, Gmail has 3 default tabs, Primary, Social and Promotions. If your emails are landing in your gmail promotions tab, then there’s a good chance it’s not being read.
To use this app, just send a test email to the temporary email address provided, and it will show you exactly which tab it lands in.
