At today’s ClickFunnels 5th year birthday celebration, Russell announced some exciting changes to Clickfunnels.
First, the big news is that ClickFunnels is refocusing itself.
Two years ago, Russell had decided to compete in other areas its Actionetics MD product. So instead of focusing on the core sales funnel building, they tried to compete in other areas like chat bots, email autoresponders, marketing automation.

tl;dr Summary
This stretched their development and support resources, and obviously Actionetics MD hasn’t taken off as they hoped.
So today, Russell admitted to his mistake, and reassert his commitment to solidifying ClickFunnel’s status as the sales funnel software category king.
Which means…
Actionetics and Actionetics MD are being sunsetted.
Existing users will continue to have access to them, but they will not no longer be available for new users. And the software itself will be put into maintenance mode which means no more bugs will be fixed or features added.
All of the developer support resources moving forward will be focused on ClickFunnels itself, which I think is great news.
But the main announcement today was about ClickFunnels Platinum and here is what I’m going to be covering in this short ClickFunnels Platinum review.

What is ClickFunnels Platinum?
ClickFunnels Platinum is basically a rebranding of the existing ClickFunnels Etison suite plan which is priced at $297 per month.
So if you are an existing Etison Suite member, you will automatically be put on the ClickFunnels Platinum plan and enjoy the same unlimited funnels and visitors you had before.
As mentioned above, you will also retain access to Actionetics and Backpack. Although the Actionetics name is no more, and is being rebranded as Followup Funnels.
ClickFunnels Platinum also includes 3 exciting new benefits:

Let me go into more detail for each below.
The Funnel Hacker Forum
According to Russell, the ClickFunnels Official FB group has become a little unwieldy. There are currently over 200,000 members in the group, while there are only 95k paying ClickFunnels users.
So what they’ve done is created an official community and separate forum for paying members only.
It actually wasn’t obvious where to find the forum. But it turns out that it’s accessible inside as part of the forth tab inside of Funnel Flix.
As you might expect, there currently isn’t much activity on the forum yet as of launch day.
It remains to be seen how popular the forum will be. I’m curious why they sort of hid it inside of Funnel Flix instead of the main dashboard. I think that reduces its visibility quite a bit
Daily Virtual Hackathons
The Daily Virtual Hackathons was something that came out of Russell’s high end 2 Comma Club X training program.
It’s going to be a hands on virtual training where you learn how to build specific types of funnels, with a focus on getting your own funnel created, designed, and launched.
There are 11 core funnels, and each virtual hackathon will focus on a single type of funnel.
Some of the funnels mentioned were Lead funnels, Summit funnels, Challenge funnel, Survey funnels, Webinar funnels, and High ticket funnels.
The way it looks like it’s going to work, is that if the days funnel interests you, then you would jump onto that session and you’d have a ClickFunnels coach walking you through how to get your funnel built.
The plan is for these virtual hackathons to start on Oct 12th, 2019.
Funnel Flix
As the name implies, this is going to be the Netflix of business training videos. And you’ll be able to stream everything from the Funnel Flix site.
Funnel Flix is currently available live inside of the ClickFunnels dashboard, but it’s actually hosted over at http://members.funnelflix.com.
When you log in, you will see 4 different tabs.
The first thing you will notice is that the 3rd tab mentions something called the ClickFunnels Collective which was not mentioned in today’s live announcement.
Watching the intro video, it looks like the Collective is a higher-level plan, that will include a support rep, live group coaching, live events every quarter, and access to every single training inside Funnel Flix.
What you’ll notice is that there are a ton of trainings inside of Funnel Flix already, although some of them are not immediately available and say they are coming soon.
But what surprised me most is that ClickFunnels standard plan users are not left out in the cold with Funnel Flix. There is a lot of trainings these users will also be getting access to. Including Funnel Builder Secrets which is kind of surprising to me.

Final Thoughts
I thought today’s announcement was really a step in the right direction for the future of ClickFunnels. I loved the increased focus on the core ClickFunnels product and I’m hoping we see some great benefits from this soon.
ClickFunnels Platinum also looks pretty sweet. I don’t mind the sunsetting of Actionetics and Backpack, as I don’t personally use them myself. So as an existing Etison Suite customer, this is pretty much a free upgrade.
And the additional trainings look amazing! There’s already a ton of content on Funnel Flix already, and I’m excited to dive in and watch some of the content. It’s the perfect way to level yourself up as a marketer.

Hey Chris, great write up of ClickFunnels Platinum! I’ve currently got the ClickFunnels standard plan and was really happy to see there’s also training in FunnelFlix for this membership level too! I was also very surprised to see Funnel Builder Secrets program available for standard members, however, it only seems to be the core FBS modules that are available at this level. I bought FBS a few months ago and you also get Traffic Secrets, Funnel Hacks and John Reese’s Spy for Profit courses as well which are not available in FunnelFlix for standard members.
