“Stay hungry, Stay Foolish!” – Steve Jobs
Steve Jobs was more than a man – he is the co-founder and CEO of one of the biggest and most valuable companies of today, Apple; he was an inventor and an entrepreneur according to Wikipedia; for many, he was a constant source of inspiration; but for me, he was all these things and much more!
Jobs co-founded Apple Inc in April 1976 with his buddy Steve Wozniak in his garage. Today, Apple is one of the biggest companies in the world, and also one of the most valuable ones!
Sheer genius is the word that comes to mind when one thinks of Steve Jobs. There is absolutely no doubt that Apple, under Steve Jobs’s guidance and leadership, has completely changed the electronics industry in the last decade or so – thanks to the iPhone (perhaps Jobs’s biggest accomplishment), the iPad (perhaps his proudest – the device which has brought about the revival of the tablet PC market), as well as the iMac and the Mac Book devices, to name a few.
Jobs was hence also a revolutionary!
His famous quote “stay hungry, stay foolish!” comes from his Stanford commencement speech from 2005. It was his closing comment at the speech. In simple terms, it means that one should always strive for the greater, should never be satisfied with something, be eager to do more and achieve more, and always push yourself and be willing to go to greater heights.
A message that is an excellent representative of the man himself, and truly resonates with the company that he built and the products that they’ve made!
